Anna Anise will release Kernow Ow Thre on Monday 14 September 2026, the first single from her forthcoming bilingual album Aneth. The album brings together English and Cornish (Kernewek) within a contemporary folk setting.

Kernow Ow Thre is a reimagining of Harry Glasson’s Cornwall My Home, with the Cornish translation created by Matthew Clarke. It is the only cover song on Aneth. Anna describes her version as a dedication to the people of Cornwall and an invitation into Kernewek for listeners who already know the melody but have not heard it sung in Cornish in this way.

The album was recorded predominantly live in a barn in West Cornwall before further work was completed in studios. The project brings together musicians from the Cornwall music scene, with contributors including Daniel Woodfield, Sam Jones and Elizabeth Ellis.

Anna’s involvement with the language began with the 2024 Endelienta Cornish Language Residency. The supplied information says she has since been creating and performing music in Kernewek and achieved Grade 1 in Kernewek through Kesva an Taves Kernewek / The Cornish Language Board in 2026. Recording Aneth was supported in part by an October 2025 crowdfunding campaign backed by 150 people.

The album will be launched with a concert at Redruth Wesley, Cornwall, at 7.30pm on Thursday 15 October 2026, as part of the Lowender festival. Anna is due to perform the full album with a group of Cornish musicians, with Aneth also available to buy at the event.
