Somerset electronic artist Boarhead released a self-titled debut album on 10 March 2026 through the artist’s own label, Bonded Music.
Boarhead describes the album as an exploration of the space where ambient music and electronic dance music naturally converge. It combines drifting textures, hypnotic rhythms and evolving melodies, with the sequencing moving from brighter, uplifting passages into deeper and more meditative territory.
The album draws on ambient house, minimal techno, dub-influenced grooves and expansive electronica. According to the artist, each track develops gradually, with atmosphere given as much importance as movement.
Rather than writing solely for clubs, Boarhead uses rhythm, texture and atmosphere to evoke places, memories and emotions. The project reflects the artist’s interest in nature, landscapes, the night sky, spirituality and memory, while seeking a balance between the calm of ambient music and the hypnotic energy of house and techno.
Boarhead emerged after the artist had released music under several aliases. The new project was established as a single, focused identity, with individual tracks conceived as journeys through changing moods, textures and energy. Releases are also sequenced to form a wider narrative.
Boarhead is based in Ilminster and has always lived in Somerset.
