Hundreds of venues. Thousands of artists. One unmissable weekend celebrating the future of live music.

Taking place from June 26 to 28, 2026, the weekend that would traditionally host Glastonbury Festival, hundreds of Grassroots Music Venues (GMVs) across the UK will come together for Everywhere At Once, a bold new nationwide live music event set to spotlight the country’s most vital cultural spaces.

Involving Music Profile artists, EachOther, are playing and have a gig coming up at the Barrel House, Totnes on 26th June 2026 with Wasabi and DJ Seretonin. All the bands are great friends from the Devon area and EachOther’s Toby believes it will be a stand-out night to showcase Devon’s talent.

This gig is a part of the EVERYWHERE AT ONCE initiative from Music Venue Trust and The National Lottery.

From Inverness to Penzance, participating venues will host a dynamic programme of performances featuring major artists, established touring acts, and the most exciting emerging local talent. The result is a coordinated, country-wide celebration of live music, rooted not in fields and main stages, but in the intimate venues where music careers are truly made.

“For decades, grassroots venues have been the launchpads for the UK’s most influential artists,” said a spokesperson for the initiative. “Everywhere At Once is about recognising that impact and bringing the entire ecosystem together in one powerful, visible moment.”

Audiences can expect a rich and varied line-up spanning genres from indie, rock, and electronic to jazz, hip-hop, and experimental music. Each venue will curate its own programme, reflecting the unique identity of its local scene while contributing to a shared national experience.

“This isn’t about replicating a traditional festival,” the spokesperson added. “It’s about celebrating what makes grassroots music special – proximity, discovery, and community. You’re not watching from a distance; you’re part of it.”

The initiative arrives at a pivotal time for the UK’s grassroots music sector. Rising costs, venue closures, and ongoing economic pressures have placed significant strain on independent spaces in recent years. Everywhere At Once aims not only to celebrate these venues but also to actively support them, driving audiences back through their doors and reinforcing their essential role within the wider music industry.

Grassroots venues are widely recognised as the foundation of artist development, providing crucial early-stage opportunities for performers to hone their craft and build audiences. Without them, the pipeline that feeds festivals, arenas, and global stages would not exist.

“Every artist has a first stage, and more often than not, it’s a grassroots venue,” said an industry partner involved in the project. “If we want a future for live music, we have to invest in its foundations.”

In addition to live performances, many venues will host workshops, panel discussions, and community-led events, offering opportunities for artists, promoters, and fans to connect beyond the stage. These moments are designed to deepen engagement and strengthen the networks that sustain local music scenes.

By aligning hundreds of independent venues under a single banner, Everywhere At Once creates a powerful collective voice, one that highlights not only the cultural significance of grassroots spaces, but their economic and social value within communities across the UK.

The timing is deliberate. As attention typically shifts toward large-scale festivals, Everywhere At Once offers an alternative narrative – one that encourages audiences to look closer to home and rediscover the energy and authenticity of live music in smaller settings.

“World-class music doesn’t only happen on the biggest stages,” the spokesperson said. “It’s happening every night, in venues just around the corner. This weekend is about bringing that into focus.”

Music fans are encouraged to support their nearest venues, explore new artists, and take part in what promises to be one of the most ambitious grassroots music initiatives ever staged in the UK.

Everywhere At Once is more than an event. It is a statement of intent, and a nationwide reminder that the future of live music starts at the grassroots.
