INVOLVING MUSIC PARTNERS WITH SONAR PRESENTS TO CHAMPION HUMAN-CURATED MUSIC DISCOVERY IN THE SOUTH WEST

Involving Music is introducing Sonar Presents new human-curated music discovery app, to its South West artist community, opening a new route for emerging artists to connect with audiences beyond algorithm-led platforms.

The collaboration places Sonar Presents at the discovery stage of a wider artist pathway being developed by Involving Music, designed to connect artists with opportunities across digital discovery, radio and live performance.

Artists can upload directly to Sonar Presents through an open submission process, making the platform accessible and inclusive for emerging artists across the region.

Involving Music will work alongside this by identifying and supporting selected South West artists within the platform, providing editorial features, increased visibility, and consideration for further opportunities across radio and live activity. This collaborative approach aims to make artists feel genuinely supported and part of a shared journey.

Unlike traditional streaming platforms, Sonar Presents focuses on human curation and intentional discovery, aligning closely with Involving Music’s editorial model and focus on genuine music discovery.

The partnership marks the first stage of a broader progression model, in which artists build their presence through editorial features, move into discovery platforms such as Sonar, and then connect to further opportunities across radio and live activity.

The pathway will begin with a small pilot cohort, allowing the model to be tested and refined before wider rollout.

This marks a step forward for Involving Music as it continues to develop a more structured role within the South West music ecosystem, connecting artists, audiences and industry partners through a clearer, more joined-up journey.

Musicians can upload their songs for free here to become part of the first wave of the app that will change the music industry for the better. All genres are welcome as long as the music is original. Being one of the first to upload will mean better discovery and connection with your fans waiting to find you.

Darren Branch’s first love was Heavy Metal, sparked by seeing Iron Maiden live at the Cornwall Coliseum in 1984 at the age of 13. His passion for grassroots music grew after discovering the vibrant local scene around Daylight Recording Studios in Honiton during the late 1980s. Having lived in Honiton and Exeter, Darren now lives in South Somerset and enjoys spending time in South Carolina.
