About the latest release:

State Of Mine is a grunge-inspired and sometimes abrasive collection of riff-heavy rock. Drawn from a bunch of songs written and developed by lead guitarist Graham during the hazy pandemic years, the band has come together to create a first EP that reflects our observations on the changing state of the world—socially, politically, and environmentally—while drawing crowds to the floor and making music that sticks in your head.

What inspired the latest release?

The experience of lockdown, people unravelling, and the resulting state of the world over the past couple of years.

Quick Fire Just For Fun

If you’re on the road…

The weirdest gig we’ve ever played happened at…

Rock Bottom Bar, Plymouth – no soundcheck, no communication on scheduling and timings; hardly any time to set up in between bands. But we played great, and it was one of our best early shows.

The place with the best bathroom graffiti is..

Probably the Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham, which is just an all-around great venue as well.

The best part of performing live is the feeling of…

The feeling when we lock in musically together and it seems effortless and sounds great – and the audience reaction affirms it.

How we prepare for a show…

Rehearse!

Shout out to a local business in Exeter…

The Roots Foundation, New Bridge Street. Records, great coffee, and an amazing haircut all under one roof.

Exeter’s Low Wave, formed in 2023, brings riff-based alternative rock infused with grunge aesthetics. Their debut EP ‘State Of Mine’ (2024) showcases melodic, reflective, and anthemic songwriting, quickly earning them a growing audience locally and internationally.
