Formed in 2019 and fronted by Joey Quiñones, East Los Angeles group Thee Sinseers draw from classic R&B and soul while reshaping it through a distinctly modern lens. Rather than simply recreating oldies, the band craft warm, timeless songs rooted in lived experience, emotion and identity. Their album Love Stories explores love in all its forms - romantic, familial, unresolved and complicated - leaning into earthy instrumentation and richly textured arrangements inspired as much by cross-genre experimentation as vintage soul traditions. The record captures heartbreak and tenderness without sentimentality, embracing ambiguity over neat resolutions. At the heart of it all is Thee Sinseers’ deep connection to East LA, woven naturally into the music’s character and spirit.
