Angeline Morrison is one of the leading voices in English folk music today, and is widely celebrated for her soulful, resonant voice, evocative songwriting and deeply affecting performances. A folk singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Angelines ground-breaking 2022 album The Sorrow Songs: Folk Songs of Black British Experience was Folk Album of the year in The Guardian, received unanimous acclaim and spent 15 weeks in the Top #40 Official Folk Albums Chart. Making her TV debut on Later With Jools Holland, Angeline performed live at the BBC Proms at The Glasshouse in Newcastle, and at many top festivals including Glastonbury and the London Jazz Festival.With an astonishing ability to move audiences, Angeline continues to inspire standing ovations on stages large and small. Her soulful and resonant voice, evocative and graceful songwriting make for deeply affecting performances that live long in the memory. The Birmingham born-musician has lived in Cornwall for many years, where she is an active figure in the local music scene.
