Wimborne Minster Folk Festival - Friday evening at the Allendale We'll kick off WMFF 2026 with a fantastic concert featuring Banter, Mitchell & Kirby and Detta Kenzie & Chris Cleverley! Banter. Described as The future of Folk, Banter take English traditional music to the next level with their iconic interpretations of classic songs and dance tunes. Mitchell & Kirby. David Mitchell & Richard Kirby seamlessly match and weave the traditional with their own original compositions, to create tune sets which are great to listen as well as dance to. Theyre multi-instrumentalists and primarily use the classic combination of fiddle and guitar for concerts. Detta Kenzie & Chris Cleverley. Detta Kenzie is an indie-folk singer and songwriter whose music, while often touched by traditional Celtic folk influences, is guided by a thoroughly modern and independent spirit. Chris Cleverley was born under a solstice moon, in the honeysuckle mysticism of a late 80s Midsummer. The symbolic sounds of Hunky Dory, Graceland and Ladies of The Canyon echoed from the woodchip walls of the South Birmingham terrace where he was raised; quiet and curious, saturnine and shy. Advance booking recommended. Tickets also available on the door, subject to availability; cash and cards accepted. Please note that if you book direct via TicketSource, you have the option to Make Your Tickets Refundable for a small fee. Tickets purchased at Allendale Community Centre or over the phone (01202 887247) are final and non-refundable.
