The Wight Bear presents... Solstice 18th-21st June 4 day celebration of Summer Solstice at The Wight Bear, DJs, Live Music, Tap Takeovers and Pop-Up food, our own little mini festival into its 2nd year. Thursday through till Sunday with 4 different events, check out the schedule below... Thursday 18th June 6pm-10pm Tap Takeover Thursday with Eight Arch Brew Co. Soundtrack by Kyle (7pm-10pm) Food by Take-A-Bao (6pm-9pm) Eight Arch Brewing are down for the evening from Wimborne to take over the taps, with 9 different beers from across their range. Evening will be soundtracked by resident DJ Kyle, alongside some banging Bao's from Take-A-Bao Friday 19th June 7pm-11pm Solstice Opening Party with Rachel Craddock Rachel is back again with her soulful sounds to start the Solstice weekend off, renowned for her mixes of disco, jazz, soul and house, Rachel will perfectly set the scene as we head into Summer. Saturday 20th June 7pm-11pm 'Soul'stice Saturday with Bob Hill & Friends From Belgrade to Bournemouth Bob Hill has played music across the tracks in more than 35 years of gigs, ranging from festival such as Jazz Re:Fest and We Out Here Festival, radio shows on Le Mellotron Radio & TWR Radio and venues across Bournemouth and even over in Belgrade at The Strogi Centar. Having been part of the curation at The Big Top stage at We Out Here festival last summer Bob Hill is taking over The Bear for our 'Soul'stice Saturday curating the evening with a selection of DJs. Big "soul"stice vibes with Bob's ever Jazzful influences. Sunday 21st June 6pm-9pm Slowww Sunday with Muco & Micky Browne Muco is a singer, songwriter and composer of British-Burundian heritage whose music is shaped by a love of language and storytelling. He specialises in reimagining medieval folk songs and poetry in Middle and Old English, alongside original songs with lyrics inspired by myth and folklore.
