Sun 28 Jun 2026, Ashburton Arts Centre, Ashburton
Inspired by the global phenomenon that is Scott Bradley's Postmodern Jukebox, Shindig is bringing the vintage glamour to venue across Devon this year. Performing their own arrangements of the popular PMJ hits you can expect to hear a cocktail of musical styles from across the 20th century, from 1920s and 30s jazz to the surf rock of the 60s and plenty more in between! Well known modern pop and rock songs are reinvented and reimagined in unexpected ways to bring a completely fresh take. Including classics such as Careless Whisper, and Sweet Child OMine alongside more recent hits by the likes of Lady Gaga and Dua Lipa, Shindig play songs you know but not as you know them! Singer Kiri Aggett brings the music alive with her velvety toned vocals together with a 2 piece horn section (Rachel Strange and Laura Cook) juggling saxophones, trumpet and clarinet. Lisa Woods (MD) on piano is joined by Tony Follano on Drums and the lineup is completed by Dave Berry on Double Bass, Electric Bass and Sousaphone! Whether you want to sit back and enjoy the music, or get your dancing shoes on and party like it's last century, join Shindig on Sunday 28 June!
