This exciting concert, to include music by Piazzolla, Bach, and Jules Demersseman, is presented by the Saint Boniface Concert Society in Crediton Parish Church (Free parking, disabled access, refreshments, free entry for FT students under 30). Rob Burton is a London-based saxophonist and artist, winner of the Woodwind Final of BBC Young Musician 2018 and a 2024 Classic FM Rising Star. He has appeared as soloist with leading orchestras and at major festivals, and performs regularly at prestigious UK venues. A scholar of the Royal Academy of Music and Zrich University of the Arts, Rob is also an accomplished oil painter, having appeared on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year. Mark Rogers is an American pianist specialising in vocal and chamber music. A Young Artist at major song festivals including Leeds Lieder and the International Lied Festival Zeist, he has worked with leading artists such as Christian Gerhaher and Felicity Lott. With baritone Florian Strtz, he won the Prix de Mlodie at the Concours Nadia et Lilli Boulanger, and first prize at the Helmut Deutsch Lieder Competition. Mark performs widely across the UK and Europe, writes programme notes for Wigmore Hall, and is an alumnus of the Royal Academy of Music. The Saint Boniface Society is a local charity dedicated to bringing top-flight classical musicians to Crediton. The society is grateful for support from 'Making Music' and from Crediton Town Council.
