Sat 27 Jun 2026, St Peter and the Holy Apostles, Plymouth

Our programme for the summer concert this year features the oratorio Every Purpose Under The Heaven by Howard Goodall. This work was written in celebration of the 1611 King James Bibles 400-year anniversary and comprises a choice of texts from Genesis through to Revelation. Goodall is well known for his choral works and his scores for musical theatre and television of which the most recognisable are Mr Bean, The Vicar of Dibley, Red Dwarf and Blackadder. We will also perform a selection of pieces by other composers, including John Rutter, Dan Forrest, Marta Keen, James Whitbourn and Patrick Hawes. For details, visit www.plymouthphoenixchorale.org
