HEAVY IS THE HEAD – SHE BURNS RED

“HOPE, TRUST and HUMANITY are not just words, it’s everything we’re fighting for, it’s everything we are”.

It’s our pleasure to introduce you to the next single from Scotland’s SHE BURNS RED, which is available now from their current album Out of Darkness.

The single is called Heavy is The Head.

Scottish rock outfit She Burns Red are the “truth” when it comes to gritty feral infused slabs of hard crunching rhythms and standard flying rock anthems.

Riffs go wild, melodies are plentiful and make no mistake, She Burns Red are potential game changers.

Vocalist/Guitarist Andy Moore & Vocalist/Bassist James McCulloch have been the two constant members and after a few line-up changes She Burns Red solidified with the additions of Scott Hanlon (ex-Anchor Lane) on Drums and Lead Guitarist, Naz (an Italian living in Edinburgh) in 2020.

Their Toby Jepson (Little Angels/Wayward Sons) produced Take Back Tomorrow EP gained the support of Great Music Stories, which undoubtedly led to their management deal with Raz White, and them becoming the talk of the UK live music scene over the next 12 – 18 months.

Performing at Call of the Wild Festival, Rockwich, Rockmantic Weekender, Winter Rocks & most recently Love Rocks Festival in Bournemouth, not forgetting, supports to Wayward Sons, Black Spiders, Florence Black, Mason Hill, South of Salem & Trucker Diablo in Northern Ireland, this combo lives for the road, meeting fans and creating amazing memories for all who get involved.

Quote about the song:

Heavy is the Head – This speaks of the burden of power and how it can corrupt. That even the best intentions can result in disdain. With the political landscape being what it has been for the last decade or so is it any wonder that we question our leaders more than ever as they fill our lives with lies and misdirection. James.

Talking points:

James rather horrendously broke his arm in 2021 by drinking a bottle of bourbon, picking someone up and then promptly falling over, within three months James was in the studio recording a track with Toby Jepson, Mark Richardson (Skunk Anansie), Ben Christo (Sisters of Mercy) and Sam Wood (Wayward Sons) for a film project by Toby Jepson.

Andy had a brain operation in 2019, which resulted in the EP being put back until the week before Lockdown. It also started to make sense why he was in constant pain and almost passed out at every gig when he was singing.

The band made £11665 on Kickstarter to make and promote the album. Making its goal of £5000 within 48 hours.
