The Ragdolls
About The Ragdolls:
The Ragdolls were formed in Cornwall in 2022, and draw from the likes of The Strokes, Pixies and New Order, tightly weaving their upbeat alternative rock sound with infectious hooks and melodic vocals.
In 2023, they released their debut EP ‘We’ve Gone Wrong’ under their former name Astrid, and garnered numerous plays on BBC Introducing in the South West.
They released their second EP, ‘Nuisance Diary’, in November 2024. Their double single Home Video and Grey Place, released last summer, explores the concept of ‘home’ from two opposing sides - the nostalgic comfort and the monotony.
For their next project, they’re going a step further in examining their roots and drawing inspiration from dark Cornish folklore. Recently, they’ve been making their mark on the festival scene, performing at CarFest and Kernowfornia in 2025, among others, and have just capped off last year by playing at Brick Lane’s historic venue, 93 Feet East.
