Hailing from Bridgwater, Somerset, Petitions blend the post-punk, new-wave guitars that defined bands such as Pretenders and The Smiths while also focusing on the songwriting that defined an era of Brit-rockers, fitting somewhere between Keane, Oasis and the Stereophonics. The band was founded by dad-rock-inspired brothers Ben and Will Chapman (singer/guitarist and drummer, respectively). Along with new members, namely lead guitarist Dylan Collins and bassist Jamie Hill, they have worked long, tireless hours alongside a fantastic network of young local talent to make music that feels hand-crafted and genuine in a world full of artificially generated slop.
