We’re thrilled to announce that Involving Music is teaming up with InExeter, Exeter Culture and Visit Exeter to celebrate June Boom.
This month-long campaign isn’t just about music (though there is plenty of that), it’s a city-wide spotlight on the cultural and creative community that makes Exeter special.
Expect coverage and campaigns for live gigs, theatre shows, comedy nights, heritage tours, street art, literature events and workshops.
Maybe you’re into beat poetry or basslines, historic tales or hilarious stand-up, whatever your vibe, June Boom is your invitation to explore the full rhythm of the city.
And as ever, we’re proud and excited to be helping make noise about the indie music events taking place across Exeter this June. We will be right in the thick of it – amplifying the sounds, stories and spaces that define the city.
Why June Boom?
Every year, Exeter comes alive with events across every corner of the city in the month of June. Maybe it’s the summer sunshine, or maybe June is just Exeter’s unofficial favourite month, but there’s always a buzz in the air. It’s a time when the city feels wide open, and there’s something to immerse yourself in at every turn.
The campaign is supported by digital, print and radio promotion, including bus and bus stop ads, radio features, Google and Meta ads and regional press coverage.
Our role? Making sure independent music is front left, right and centre.
How will we turn up the volume?
If you follow our platforms, you’ll know that every week, we publish curated event round-ups highlighting the best of Exeter’s live music scene.
All throughout June, we’ll be tagging and collaborating with June Boom to make sure these events reach new audiences and get the spotlight they deserve. We’ll also be speaking with venues and artists to share their top picks for the diary.
We’re also launching a dedicated Spotify and YouTube playlist featuring all the artists performing in Exeter during June. It’s a digital mixtape of the city – genre-bending, grassroots and full of local fire.

We know that Exeter is home to a powerful, evolving and sometimes under-celebrated independent music scene. June Boom gives us all a chance to shout a little louder.
To celebrate the local venues keeping live music alive. To support the bands showing up and sharing, night after night. And to make space for the kind of culture that only happens when community and creativity come together.
June Boom is all about being heard. It offers an ideal opportunity to let the city know that you’re part of what makes Exeter shine, giving gig-goers, comedy lovers, history buffs, creatives and city dwellers the chance to explore the full line-up of events, hop between them, and discover something new along the way.
